RICHARD MALICK: I'm thinking about developing a high-speed rail system that links Atlanta to both Nashville and points south. It would connect three major cities (with a population of nearly a million) to the Gulf of Mexico. It's a plan that I've been developing and testing in Georgia.

LUCCA: I'm guessing you don't have the money to go that route. Is that right?

MALICK: At some point in the future, I do want to. I think the federal government can help provide a lot of the money. If there's money available, I'll be able to do it, but it's not going to be easy. The money is there, but it's hard to get it. I'm sure it would be well-used. The United States could really, really help in a way that it's not able now. But there's no guarantee it'd be used. So I'd like to get the funding sooner rather than later.

On the day of the incident, she found herself in the back seat of a police vehicle while waiting for a tow truck.
